Automatic Gearbox Repairs – Torquay

Across Devon and Cornwall, drivers rely on The Gearbox Centre Devon in Torquay for accurate, specialist automatic gearbox repairs carried out by experienced transmission engineers.

Automatic gearboxes operate under constant heat and pressure, and faults often develop gradually before failure becomes obvious.  Our diagnostic process allows us to pinpoint issues such as harsh selection, slipping gears, delayed engagement, fluid-related faults, and electronic control problems.  Once diagnosed, repairs are completed using high-quality parts and proven rebuild procedures where required.

For gearboxes suffering from internal wear, the unit can be removed, dismantled, thoroughly cleaned, and rebuilt using renewed internal components.  Every repaired or rebuilt automatic transmission is tested to confirm correct pressure, temperature stability, and smooth operation before being returned to service.
